Q: Which format should I choose?

A: It depends on the type of browser you are using and/or the type of media player you have installed on your computer.

Windows Media- Will function with most all browsers and requires that you have Windows Media Player installed on your system. All Windows Operating Systems, by default come with Window Media Player already installed.

aacPlus- Will ONLY function with Microsoft’s “Internet Explorer (IE)” and requires installation of a special Active X Controller.

A: aacPlus is the combination of three MPEG technologies which offers a unique bandwidth extension technique that delivers the same quality at half the bit rate. aacPlus delivers streaming 5.1 multi-channel audio at 128 kbps, near CD-quality stereo at 32 kbps, excellent quality stereo at 24 kbps, and good quality for mixed content even below 16 kbps mono. WSVX is streaming at 32 kbps or near CD-quality.

Q: How come can I listen to your stream at home but have trouble when I’m at work?

A: Some businesses have firewalls which can block our stream, if you think that is may apply to you please contact your Network Administrator or IT Professional.
